David is living by, with, on and in the Middle Fork of the Salmon River, Idaho

David is wearing a North Creek Rafting Company T shirt in his sweep boat on the Middle Fork of the Salmon River.

"And you really live by the river? What a jolly life!"
"By it and with it and on it and in it," said the Rat (or David). "It's my world, and I don't want any other. What it hasn't got is not worth having, and what it doesn't know is not worth knowing. " - Kenneth Grahame, The Wind in the Willows
As I type, David is rowing through the 2.3 million-acre Frank Church - River of No Return Wilderness Area.  This is the largest designated wilderness area in the contiguous 48 states. The Salmon River Canyon is one of the deepest in North America, deeper than the Grand Canyon in Arizona.
